Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)
A MBE is an enterprise (sole proprietorship, partnership or corporation) located in the United States or its trust territories of which a minimum of 51 percent is owned by a minority person(s). The term “minority persons” includes United States citizens of the following ethnic groups: African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, American Eskimos, Asians, Pacific Islanders, and Aleuts.
Women Business Enterprise (WBE)
A WBE is a sole proprietorship, partnership or corporation located in the United States or its trust territories of which a minimum of 51 percent is owned by one or more women, and where the daily operations are controlled and managed by one or more women.
Disabled Business/Veteran Business enterprise (DBE/DVE)
DBE is an enterprise where at least 51 percent of the business is owned and managed daily by an individual(s) of U.S. citizenship with a permanent physical or mental impairment that significantly limits one or more of such person's major life activities. DVE is an enterprise that is 51% owned and controlled by a disabled veteran(s) who performed active service in the United States Armed Services.
