Liability Driven Investing provides plan sponsors the opportunity to understand and manage the risk inherent in their pension plans. Northern Trust provides customised solutions, tailored to specific goals and situations.
The Northern Trust Implementation and Oversight Solutions were conceived as a client-centred response to the changing fiduciary management requirements of investors in Europe . The solutions draw on our extensive experience of delivering complete customised multi-manager investment programmes to clients in North America.
We offer the opportunity to outsource key elements of your investment programme that will benefit from our core expertise and experience:
Implementation: A solution that includes manager selection and asset class construction, whereby our manager research team analyses the universe of managers available to you, advises on the most appropriate managers, and builds an asset class solution for your investment programme. We believe it is important for us to avoid the potential of introducing conflicts of interest by not recommending proprietary Northern Trust capabilities.
Oversight: A risk oversight capability that helps to ensure that your investment programme and investment managers remain in line with your expectations. This is achieved through qualitative and quantitative evaluation of your programme at multiple levels and includes detailed risk management analysis and reporting packages.
