Sheldon W. Woldt
Sheldon W. Woldt is a Senior Vice President at The Northern Trust Company and its Head of the Middle East. In this role he is responsible for leading Northern Trust’s continued growth in the region, working with regional management and drawing on its asset servicing, asset management and wealth management expertise to achieve this. Sheldon also works with sales and relationship managers to support their focus on client satisfaction, risk management and on bringing new ideas to clients.
Sheldon brings a wide variety of experience to his role including banking operations management, financial analysis instructor, and as relationship manager in commercial lending, treasury management, investment management and global custody. He has worked with a wide variety of entities including large corporations in various industries, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, and investment managers. Prior to relocating to the Middle East, Sheldon managed a team of relationship managers serving large corporations and before that he managed the Global Fund Services Practice, servicing investment managers around the world and their commingled fund products.
Woldt holds a B.S. degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, an M.M. degree in Finance and Marketing from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, is a Certified Cash Manager and a CFA charterholder.
Woldt is a member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and a member of the Board of Directors for the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Suzuki-Orff School for Young Musicians.

Michael has a dual responsibility as Chief Representative in NTGS Abu Dhabi representative office as well as for sales and marketing efforts in the Middle East and Africa for Northern Trusts Corporate & Institutional Services. Within these roles Michael is responsible for the ongoing strategic development of Northern Trust's activities in the Middle East and Africa.
Michael has 18 years of financial services experience within global custody, including operations, client services and relationship management in the US, UK and Middle East. Michael has been focused on the Middle East since 1997.
