David C. Blowers is an Executive Vice President of The Northern Trust Company. He serves as President and CEO of the bank's Midwest Region, which includes direct oversight of the bank's 16 locations in the Chicago area, as well as offices in St. Louis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Cleveland, Bloomfield Hills, Grosse Pointe, and Grand Rapids.
Most recently, Dave served as President of Northern's personal businesses in Illinois. Prior to that, he had spent his entire career on the institutional side of Northern where he held such roles as General Manager of the bank’s London Branch, Regional Manager for Northern’s large corporate ERISA and commercial banking business in the Eastern region of the United States and Deputy General Manager of Northern Trust’s Hong Kong Branch. He also ran Northern Trust’s large corporate banking and trust activities in the Chicago marketplace for six years.
Dave received an MBA degree in finance from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, and a BA degree in government from Lawrence University. He is an executive committee member of the Board of Managers of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago; Vice Chairman of both the Harris Theater for Music and Dance and WTTW/Network Chicago; and a director of the Friends of Prentice. He is also a member of the Fellows Association of Leadership Greater Chicago, The Economic Club of Chicago, the Chicago Club, and Exmoor Country Club.
Dave and his wife, Luann, have three children. They reside in Lake Forest, IL.


Laura is a Senior Vice-President and currently serves as President of The Northern Trust Company of Delaware, a Delaware limited purpose trust company in Wilmington, Delaware. In this role, Laura is responsible for managing Northern’s Delaware office which was opened in 2004 and now has over $10 billion of assets under administration.
Prior to managing Northern’s Delaware office, Laura was a Senior Vice President and Fiduciary Relationship Manager in Chicago where she managed one of the largest and most complex portfolios of trust and investment management accounts in the Personal Financial Services Department. Laura also dedicated over seven years of service in Northern’s Legal Department as a Senior Attorney advising Trust Administrators, Investment Managers and Fiduciary Officers on a variety of trust and investment legal issues. Prior to joining The Northern Trust Company, Laura was at Harris Trust and Savings Bank where she worked in both the Legal Department and as a Senior Trust Administrator and managed one of Harris Bank’s suburban trust departments from 1997 to 2000. Early in her career, Laura practiced law with two Chicago firms where she specialized in estate planning and trust law.
Laura received her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Loyola University of Chicago in 1984 and attended both Georgetown Law Center where she was on the Dean’s List and Loyola School of Law where she received her J.D. in 1987. Laura was on the Trust Administration faculty of the American Bankers Association’s National Trust School from 1996 to 2001 and she served on the Board of Directors for the National Trust School from 1997 to 2000. Laura was also a faculty member for the American Bankers Association’s National Graduate Trust School from 1997 to 1999. Laura has earned her Charted Private Wealth Advisor designation and speaks and writes frequently on various trust and fiduciary topics. Laura is admitted to the bar of the State of Illinois and to the bar of the United States Supreme Court.
