President and CEO of Florida
John D. Fumagalli is Chairman and CEO of the Florida Region of Northern Trust. In this position he has responsibility for managing the company’s investment management, trust and estate planning, private and business banking and financial consulting business in Florida.
Prior to his current role, Fumagalli served as President and Chief Executive Officer for the Southwest Florida region, as well as regional head of West Florida, with responsibility for all banking, trust and investment activities for the west coast of Florida.
John joined Northern Trust in Chicago as a Second Vice President in 1989. He was named a Vice President in 1992 and a Senior Vice President in 1999. While in Chicago, he served as the Managing Director of Northern’s Oak Street Financial Center and was responsible for the Northwestern Memorial Financial Center. In 2001 he was appointed President and CEO of the Saint Louis Financial Center. In 2005, John assumed responsibility for the Southwest Florida Region. In 2011, John was appointed Regional President of West Florida, directly responsible for all activities on the west coast of Florida.
Bringing over 25 years of experience in commercial and private banking, John received a B.A. degree in Economics in 1983 from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, and a Masters degree in Business Administration in 1997 from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
John serves on the Foundation Boards for Naples Community Hospital and Florida Gulf Coast University, the Advisory Board for Catholic Charities, and the Saint Ann Parish Finance Council. He is on the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Collier County, the Conservancy of SW Florida, the Naples Botanical Garden, the Forum Club and the Council of Advisors of Searching For Solutions, Inc.

West McCann, President of the Bonita Springs office, joined Northern Trust in 2001 with 24 years of diverse investment management experience. As President he is responsible for the daily operations and new business development of the Bonita Springs office. Before relocating to Bonita Springs, West held the position of Managing Executive of the Naples/5th Avenue office.
West is a graduate of Georgia State University, where he earned a BBA as a finance major. He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and a member of the CFA Institute and Investment Management Consultant Association.
As an avid outdoorsman promoting the conservation and charitable needs of Collier and Lee Counties, West serves as a board member for the United Way, Audubon of Florida, Naples Community Hospital Planned Giving Committee, the Bonita Springs Speaker’s Assembly, The Bonita Springs Community Foundation, Friends of the Florida Panther and is an alumnus of Greater Naples Leadership.
West and his wife Julie reside in Naples with their two sons, West and Will.
