Steve "Mac" MacLellan is the President of the Central Region for Northern Trust's Wealth Management business. In this capacity he is responsible for leading the region's investment management, banking and fiduciary business for Northern Trust's offices in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Missouri. In addition, MacLellan is a member of the Northern Trust Operating Group, the Northern Trust Wealth Management Executive Committee and is a board member of Northern Trust Securities Inc.
Prior to his current role, MacLellan was the Global Head of Business Practices and Client Segments for Northern Trust's Wealth Management business. In that capacity, he oversaw Wealth Management's professional business practices (investment management, private banking, personal trust and advisory services) as well as Wealth Management's core client segments (Wealth Advisory, Private Client Services, and Foundations & Institutional Services). He was also responsible for the business unit's sales and marketing functions. Prior to assuming this role, MacLellan served as President for Northern Trust's Wealth Management business in the Southwest Region (Arizona, Texas and Colorado). And prior to that assignment he served as National Director of Wealth Advisory Services.
Her previous management positions at Northern Trust include Managing Director of Wealth Advisory Services in Winnetka, Managing Director of the Oak Street Financial Center (Chicago), a Division Manager in the Middle Market Banking Group and the Division Manager of the Trade Finance Division.
Prior to joining Northern Trust as a Vice President in September, 1991, Allegra was a Vice President at Bankers Trust Company in New York. She was named a Senior Vice President in May, 2002.
Allegra received a B.A. degree from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts in 1984 and an M.M. degree from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1996.
Allegra is a Board Member of the Chicago Humanities Festival, the Golden Apple Foundation and the District 39 (Wilmette) Educational Foundation.
James W. Hock is a Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Northern Trust's Wealth Advisory Services. Mr. Hock joined Northern Trust in 1989 with responsibilities in Commercial Banking including various management activities. He was most recently responsible for the management of Northern Trust's Naperville and Wheaton Financial Centers. Prior to that position, Mr. Hock managed in Northern’s Oakbrook Terrace and Schaumburg Financial Centers.Before joining Northern Trust in 1994, Rick was a vice president and head of Corporate Operations for Lake Shore Bancorp.
Prior to joining Northern Trust, Mr. Hock was employed by Firstar Corporation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in various Commercial Banking assignments, including Middle Market Lending and Correspondent Banking.
He holds his B.A. in Economics from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, and received his Masters degree in Economics from University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He has also completed the Cannon Financial Institute's Personal Trust School, Levels I, II and III.
Mr. Hock is a director on the board of Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton, Illinois. He is also on the board of directors of Family Focus, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois.
Rick received his B.S. degree in finance from the University of Illinois and his M.B.A. degree in portfolio management from DePaul University.
