Steve Bell is President of the West Region at Northern Trust. In this position he is responsible for managing the company’s wealth management business in the Western United States.

Previously, Steve served as the head of the Global Family Office business, a specialized unit of The Northern Trust Company which addresses the complex financial requirements of U.S. and international families who maintain single family offices. During his 32 year career at Northern Trust, he also built and ran the private banking business for Northern Trust Bank of California (1991-1997), served as a commercial real estate lender (1989-1990), worked with Chicago middle market owner/operators (1983-1988), and served as a supervisor in the Financial Analysis Division (1982-1983).

Steve received his A.B. degree with honors in economics from Duke University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. He received his M.B.A. degree from the University of Chicago, with a concentration in Finance. He joined Northern Trust Company in 1982.

Steve has served as an officer and board member with various charitable, civic and educational organizations in Chicago and San Francisco. Currently, Steve serves on the boards of SF Jazz and Coaching Corps. He and his wife Susan reside in Menlo Park.

Jeffrey B. Early serves as President of South Texas Northern Trust. As such, he has management responsibilities for the Houston and Austin regions. He also serves on the Management Committee and Board of Directors of the Texas bank. Mr. Early joined Northern Trust in 1978 as a management trainee in commercial banking. He served in various management assignments with The Northern Trust Company including commercial banking, mortgage lending and heading retail banking for the Chicago market. In April 1992, Mr. Early assumed the position of Managing Executive of Northern Trust in Houston.

Mr. Early received a B.S. degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Houston Symphony, a board member for the Honors College of the University of Houston, a member of the Alley Theatre’s Board of Trustees and a board member of the Village Learning Center. Mr. Early is past President of the Houston Symphony Society, a former member of the Advisory Board of the Assistance League of Houston, a former Trustee of the Houston Ballet, the Houston Symphony Endowment, the Houston Grand Opera, and a former member of the Lombardi Award Committee.

Mark Flagg is a Senior Vice President at the Northern Trust, NA. Mark serves as the Dallas Region President. Prior to becoming the Dallas Region President, Flagg served as Managing Director for Northern Trust’s Tanglewood after serving as Managing Director at the River Oaks office in Houston.

He joined Northern Trust as a Private Banker in Dallas in 1988, before which he was associated with several large regional banks in Dallas.

Flagg holds a Bachelors of Arts and M.B.A. degree from Baylor University.

He has been active in numerous charitable and civic organizations, including the boards of Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Citizens Council, Baylor University Hankamer School of Business, Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, Habitat for Humanity and Child Advocates.
