Jeffery S. Benner
Jeff Benner is a Senior Vice President at The Northern Trust Company in Chicago. He is currently the Deputy Head of Global Securities Lending, with responsibility for all securities lending activity in North America. Jeff is also currently the Chairman of EquiLend Holdings LLC, a consortium of leading financial institutions whose goal is to connect borrowers and lenders through a common, standards-based global lending platform.

Prior to his current role, Jeff managed the North American Securities Lending trading desks, which includes the U.S. Treasury, Agency, Corporate Bond, Equity and Canadian trading desks. Jeff was previously responsible for developing products for securities lending and cash management. He has also worked in the Passport product group where he was the product manager of various on-line applications. Prior to his position in the Passport product group, Jeff was a global trader in the Securities Lending group responsible for negotiating global securities loans with approved borrowers and earlier spent four years in Global Custody.

Jeff has an M.B.A. with specialization in finance from DePaul University and a B.S. in finance and economics from Illinois State University.
