Northern Trust is the proud sponsor of The Nature Conservancy - Design for a Living World exhibit being held at The Field Museum in Chicago from May 13, 2011 through November 13, 2011. Complimenting this exhibition is a photo display at Chicago's Lurie Garden in Millennium Park that features a selection of previously unpublished Design for a Living World images. The photos will be on display at Lurie Garden from April 15, 2011 through November 13, 2011. After closing in Chicago, the exhibit will travel to Phoenix.
Design for a Living World showcases objects designed and created by 10 designers (fashion, jewelry, furniture and industrial) from sustainable materials sourced from around the world. The exhibit highlights the synergy between design and sustainability and encourages us to think about the products we use, where they come from, how they are made and the impacts they have on our planet.
The Nature Conservancy is a leading conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people.
