Gregg manages the Financial Consulting Group. He has nineteen years of experience in the financial services industry, including thirteen years advising senior executives of large corporations and other high net worth individuals. Gregg's range of expertise spans from comprehensive retirement and cash flow analysis, investments, insurance, income tax, stock options, single stock concentrations, compensation and benefits, education, major goal funding, estate tax and charitable giving.
Prior to joining Northern Trust, Gregg was the Manager of Personal Wealth Management at RSM McGladrey accounting and financial planning firm and a Senior Financial Counselor at Asset Management Group, a national financial planning firm. Gregg earned a Bachelor’s Degree and Master's Degree in Business Administration from De Paul University. He is a member of The Financial Planning Association® and earned the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. |

John Skjervem
Executive Vice President
Mr. Skjervem leads the national investment management practice for Northern Trust’s Personal Financial Services (PFS) business from the firm’s Chicago headquarters. His responsibilities include investment policy development with a particular focus on portfolio construction and implementation. He also directs the investment management activities of over 200 Northern Trust portfolio managers across the firm’s 85-office PFS franchise.
Mr. Skjervem joined Northern Trust in 1991 as a portfolio manager in the firm’s Santa Barbara, CA office where he managed financial asset portfolios for individuals, pension plans, foundations and non-profit agencies. In 2002, John was appointed Chief Investment Officer for the Western Region of Northern’s PFS business. In that role, he supervised 30 portfolio managers across three western states from Northern’s regional headquarters in Los Angeles. Prior to his tenure at Northern Trust, John worked in Los Angeles as an associate economist for consultants Natelson Levander Whitney, and as a public finance specialist for investment bankers Ehrlich Bober & Co. John earned a M.B.A. degree with concentrations in Finance and Statistics from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business, and received his B.A. degree in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, is a director of the CFA Society of Chicago, the nation’s oldest society of financial analysts, and serves as a board member for the St. Francis Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA. |

Chief Fiduciary Officer
R. Hugh Magill is an Executive Vice President at The Northern Trust Company, Chicago, where he serves as Chief Fiduciary Officer and National Director of Trust Services. In this capacity he is responsible for Northern Trust’s fiduciary and philanthropic services to private clients nationally.
Prior to joining Northern Trust in September, 1989, Hugh practiced law privately in Chicago, and worked in the Trust Department at The First National Bank of Chicago where he served as Assistant to the Chief Investment Officer. Hugh received a B.A. degree, cum laude, from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, and a J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was named a distinguished alumnus in 2005. Hugh is a member of the Chicago, Illinois and American Bar Associations, the Chicago Estate Planning Council, and the Christian Legal Society. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Minnesota and admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court. He is a faculty member of the American Banker’s Association National Trust School and lectures for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, many Bar Associations, and Northern Trust on estate and charitable planning, trust administration, and fiduciary risk management. He serves on the Boards of the Creator Arts Center, the Block Museum of Art, and several foundations. He is a member of the Site Council for the Gaylord Building of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and a Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America. He and his wife reside in Winnetka, Illinois with their three children. |
