Protect yourself against "phishing" and "spoofing"
You may have read or heard about a new e-mail scam known as “phishing” or “spoofing” in which fraudsters send consumers e-mail messages that appear to come from legitimate financial institutions. Consumers are directed to what appear to be authentic bank web sites. Typically individuals are then asked to verify or update account information and personal data.
We want to make you aware Northern Trust will never ask you to provide or verify or update personal or account information via e-mail or an unsecured Internet website.
