The "Heartbleed Security Bug"

A new data security risk being referred to as the "Heartbleed Security Bug" is in the news. This vulnerability can expose sensitive information when sent over certain versions of the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. This could allow an attacker to see all traffic going to and from an impacted website.  Immediately upon learning of this vulnerability, Northern Trust began a comprehensive review of its websites and has determined that Private and Wealth Passport are NOT affected.  Rest assured, we are committed to maintaining client security.

Currently, clients do not need to change their password for Private Passport, since it was never at risk from the Heartbleed Security Bug. Visit the Security Center for more security education.
