Wealth in America 2008 Study
Northern Trust’s annual Wealth in America study represents one of the most complete pictures available of U.S. millionaires and their finances. Major topics covered by the study include millionaires’ attitude toward the stock market and investments, asset allocation plans, use of professional advisors, views on philanthropy and inheritance, and plans for retirement.
This year’s study highlights two trends: the steadfastness of affluent investors in the face of a worsening economy; and the emergence of a class of “Gen X” millionaires whose attitudes toward their finances are remarkably different from older affluent households.
