Northern Trust’s enhanced foreign exchange solutions, built on software developed in an exclusive partnership with financial technology provider BEx LLC, won the award for Best Global Deployment based on:

• Providing a trading engine capable of processing thousands of trades and quotes per second.
• Leveraging a modular design built on a flexible framework, making it easier and quicker to add new functionality and features.
• Aggregating and synthetizing market quotes from multiple global pricing sources, providing a robust pricing process.
Northern Trust’s virtual desktop infrastructure, leveraging hyperconverged infrastructure, won Best Infrastructure Initiative based on:
• Reduced total cost of ownership and cost per virtual desktop.
• Decreased number of help desk incidents and power consumption.
• Improved end user performance and experience.
• Streamlined support model with a single team and single vendor responsible for the entire stack.
CTO Scott Murray was honored with the Best Buy Side Technology Executive award for spearheading global infrastructure integrations, leading projects that successfully managed operational risk, instituting information technology programs and deployments to significantly reduce costs, and leveraging new technology in a unique way.
