Jennifer S. Gravenor
Austin Region President
Prior to joining Northern Trust, Jennifer was a Vice President at J.P. Morgan where she was responsible for devising and leading the South Region’s business strategy for advising high-net-worth Corporate Executives and Retirees. While at J.P. Morgan, she supervised the management over $1.5 billion in assets for families across Texas. She has worked for a large Family Office as an Investment Consultant, performing due diligence on alternative investment opportunities. Jennifer also has experience working in Family Law and Trust litigation consulting for an international tax firm .
Jennifer earned her Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University, her Master of Music in Flute Performance from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University and her Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance from the University of Michigan.
She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Jennifer is married with one son. In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking and exploring her community.
Jennifer Gravenor, CFA is President of Northern Trust’s wealth management business in the Austin region. In her role, Jennifer proactively leads a team of seasoned professionals that meet the financial and planning needs of high net worth clientele. The Central Texas business focuses on providing “high touch” investment management, fiduciary, private banking, and wealth consulting solutions to successful families. Jennifer also oversees Northern Trust’s advisory practice for nonprofit organizations and private foundations.
Jennifer values a commitment to community. Since moving to Austin, she has been voted to serve on the Board of Directors for the Austin Symphony Orchestra. Jennifer has also become a member of Dell Children’s Trust. Prior to her move, she served on the boards of the Houston Ballet, Houston Symphony Society, Family Services of Greater Houston, and Hermann Park Conservancy. In 2019, Jennifer received the Houston Symphony’s Volunteer of the Year award. Jennifer is also actively involved with the Salvation Army and Women’s Finance Exchange. .
