John S. Hantak
John Hantak is the president of Northern Trust’s wealth management business in Houston, Texas. Prior to his current role, John was the managing director of Houston’s ultra-high-net-worth business. John has over 24 years of experience in the wealth management sector, where he’s worked in the capacity of financial advisor, sales manager, branch manager, and complex director.
John earned a B.A. from Villanova University.
John holds the Series 7, 9, 10, and 63 securities licenses. He is also a graduate of The Northern Trust Company's Trust School.
John, his wife Kris, and his two boys live in Houston, Texas. His interests include hunting, fishing, western heritage, and horseback riding. He and Kris are also actively involved with their sons’ school, St. Francis Episcopal School.
John proactively leads a team of seasoned professionals that meet the financial needs of an ultra-high-net-worth clientele. The Houston business focuses on providing investment management, fiduciary, private banking, and wealth consulting solutions to successful families.
John serves on the board of directors for Junior Achievement Houston and Friends for Life Animal Shelter. John has also volunteered with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo since 2008 and serves on the Parade, Mutton Bustin’, Grand Entry, and Feed Store committees. In addition, he is a member of the Children’s Fund of Houston, Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation, St. Cecilia Catholic Church, and the Tejas Vaqueros.
