Performance quoted represents past
performance and does not guarantee future results. Investment return will fluctuate.
Shares, when redeemed, may be worth more or less than their original cost. Current
performance may be lower or higher than that shown here. The current yield more closely
reflects the current earnings of the Fund than the total return. Performance would
have been lower in the absence of fee waivers in effect. Select a Fund to view the

**Effective July 30, 2020, Class K and Class I replaced the
Fund’s predecessor Shares Class (“Shares Class”). For periods starting
July 30, 2020, the Fund’s performance returns are shown for Class K and Class
I. The Fund’s performance returns prior to July 30, 2020 are shown for the Shares
Class, which had an inception date of March 5, 2008. The performance of the Fund’s
Shares Class has not been adjusted to reflect the expenses applicable to Class K or
Class I shares since the classes have different expense ratios than the expense ratio
of the Shares Class. The expenses applicable to the Fund’s Class K and Class
I shares are lower than the expenses applicable to the Shares Class. Excluding the
effect of any fees, expenses, fee waivers or reimbursements, the performance of the
Fund’s Class K shares and Class I shares would have annual returns substantially
similar to those of Shares Class because the classes invest in the same portfolio
of securities. Please refer to the current prospectus for further information.

returns are shown for Class K and Class I for periods starting July 30, 2020 and August

August 20, 2020 reflects the performance and expenses of the Fund’s Class K
shares. Class K and Class I would have similar returns because each class is invested
in the same portfolio of securities. The Fund’s performance returns prior to

*****Effective September 13, 2022,
the Northern Funds Ultra Short Fixed Income Fund (“Fund”) launched a new
share class known as the Siebert Williams Shank Shares Class (“SWS Class”).
Prior to September 13, 2022, there were no SWS Class shares outstanding for the Fund
and therefore performance information for SWS Class shares is not available. For this
reason, the performance information shown is for the Fund’s Shares Class, with
an inception date of June 18, 2009. The Fund’s SWS Class would have similar
annual returns when compared with the Fund’s Shares Class because both classes
are invested in the same portfolio of securities. The annual returns of the Shares
Class would differ from those of SWS Class only to the extent that the classes do
not have the same expenses. Please refer to the Fund’s current prospectus for
further information.

The 7-Day SEC
Yield is an annualized yield based on the most recent 7-day period. The 7-Day
SEC Yield more closely reflects the current earnings of the Fund than the total return
quotation. The 7-Day SEC Yield is calculated in accordance with SEC requirements and
does not include capital gains. At times, the 7-Day SEC Yield may differ from the
actual distribution rate of a Fund because of the exclusion of distributed capital
gains. The 1-Daily Yield and 7-Day Yield include capital gains, if any. The subsidized
yields reflect any voluntary and contractual reimbursement or waivers that may be
in effect for all of a period shown. Unsubsidized yields reflect the performance of
a Fund if any voluntary and contractual waivers had not been in place during the period
shown.
You could lose money by investing
in the Fund. All purchase and sale activity is being transacted at the Amortized Cost
NAV of $1.00. Although the Fund seeks to preserve the value of your investment at
$1.00 per share, it cannot guarantee it will do so. An investment in the Fund is not
insured or guaranteed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or any other government
agency. The Fund’s sponsor has no legal obligation to provide financial support
to the Fund, and you should not expect that the sponsor will provide financial support
to the Fund at any time.
Total return is based on net change in NAV, assuming
reinvestment of all distributions.
Since-inception returns for funds less than one year
old are not annualized.
The 30-day SEC yield w/waivers represents
the annualization of the Fund's net investment income, excluding capital gain income
and includes contractual expense reimbursements. It would be lower without those reimbursements.
Negative 30-Day SEC Yield results when accrued expenses of the past 30 days exceed
the income collected during the past 30 days.
The 30-day SEC yield w/o waivers
represents the annualization of the Fund's net investment income, excluding capital
gain income and excludes contractual expense reimbursements, resulting in a lower
yield. Negative 30-Day SEC Yield results when accrued expenses of the past 30 days
exceed the income collected during the past 30 days.
