Memorial Hermann

Memorial Hermann is a community-owned not-for-profit integrated health system, known for its focus on safety, quality and evidence-based care. Their team is dedicated to improving health and building stronger communities, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. A cornerstone of their work is Life Flight, the nation’s largest air ambulance provider. operating 24/7 and completing more than 4,200 missions annually. Thanks to donations from Northern Trust, the fleet has been updated and renewed, boosting Hermann’s ability to provide critically ill and injured patients with the highest level of pre-hospital trauma care.

“With Memorial Hermann Life Flight, we literally extend the hospital. It's not just a patient delivery service. With the well-equipped Life Flight helicopters, resuscitation and care begin the moment we encounter the patient, which makes a big difference.”

Margadarshi The Association for Physically Challenged

Margadarshi The Association for Physically Challenged, was founded in 1988 by a group of polio survivors who wanted to create better opportunities for people with disabilities. Each year, the association reaches around 5,000 individuals and families through a variety of programs, including early intervention, medical rehabilitation, residential and educational support, livelihood training and counseling. The group works to remove physical and social barriers that limit opportunity, while helping people with disabilities build confidence, independence, and hope. Thanks to a contribution from Northern Trust, the association has been able to provide new equipment for patients like wheelchairs, hearing aids and spectacles.

"As a polio survivor, this customized wheelchair has restored my independence, comfort, and dignity, allowing me to move without pain and commute independently to work. I am deeply grateful for this life-changing gift, which was renewed my confidence and transformed my daily life."
