Husain Jalal Abbas

Husain Jalal Abbas is the Chief Financial Officer at Northern Trust Saudi Arabia, overseeing Finance operations across the Middle East and Africa. In his role, he leads the region’s financial strategy, governance, and reporting, ensuring strong fiscal discipline and supporting the organization’s long-term growth.

Prior to joining Northern Trust, Husain accumulated more than 11 years of diversified experience in the financial sector. He began his career with Grant Thornton and PwC, where he audited financial statements across multiple industries. He later served as a Finance Officer at Investcorp, gaining deep exposure to international investment management, before going on to lead a group corporate accounting function. His career reflects a consistent track record of strengthening financial controls, driving operational efficiencies, and elevating reporting standards.

Husain holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Bahrain and several professional qualifications, including ACCA, CME‑1, CISI Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management, and Certified Islamic Banker.
