Locations Throughout the United States

College Possible

College Possible helps students from low-income backgrounds turn college ambitions into reality. Since 2000, the organization has supported nearly 100,000 students by pairing students with dedicated coaches who provide personalized guidance and encouragement to unlock the life-changing potential of higher education. Support begins in a student’s junior year of high school and continues through college graduation, one of the longest support cycles available. Even when students pause or change schools, coaches are a steady source of help. Thanks to the backing of Northern Trust, the program is offered free of charge, breaking down financial barriers to success.

“I don't know what I thought I would be doing after graduation, but coming from a low-income family and now making double what my parents make—straight out of college—it feels surreal.”

Child’s Rights and You (CRY)

The work of CRY spans education, health and child protection, providing support and awareness in local communities so that children can complete their education regardless of income, gender or caste. A STEM program, run by CRY and backed by Northern Trust, aims to improve education in four government schools by strengthening infrastructure, resources and teacher capacity, providing the tools for over 600 children to achieve better academic outcomes while developing life skills. By bridging gaps in educational access and quality, the initiative empowers adolescents to make informed choices for their future. Last year, CRY’s work reached over 2.2 million children across India, helping to shape confident, capable individuals.

“The Life Skills Workshop conducted by CRY was very insightful. My favorite session was on emotional changes, where I learned that emotions can vary from person to person and change based on different situations.  Thank you for such a meaningful and impactful workshop!”

Bridges from School to Work

Bridges From School to Work connects young adults with disabilities to real jobs, real wages and a meaningful working life. With the help of Northern Trust, they mentor 17–24-year-olds across 10 US cities, guiding them from program enrollment up to the first year after hire. Trained staff help young people build confidence, understand workplace expectations and develop practical skills - from preparing applications and interviews to navigating their first days on the job. This fosters lasting workforce participation, career growth and confidence, helping each young adult discover their earnings potential and happiness through meaningful employment.

“My coworkers don't see my disability. They just see me doing great work. Bridges gave me a chance when no one else would.”
