Achieving Greater Together
During October 2021, Northern Trust employees collectively gave over 12,000 volunteer service hours to more than 800 charitable organizations globally demonstrating our commitment to giving back to the communities where we live and work. Building on Northern Trust's legacy of service, for every 1 hour of volunteering performed during Achieving Greater Together, Northern Trust has committed to donating 50 meals to organizations fighting hunger. On behalf of our employees volunteer service, approximately 602,500 meals will be donated to hunger relief organizations around the globe.

Community engagement is an important part of Northern Trust's culture. Through our volunteer programs, our employees listen, learn and work closely with our communities to address their specific needs.

Northern Trust employees around the world work for the greater good of their communities.

To support employees who give their time and service to causes that are important to them, Northern Trust awards volunteer grants to eligible charitable organizations and employees are given two paid days off to volunteer for the charities of their choice. Their service has spanned a variety of projects, including tutoring schoolchildren, collecting goods for food banks and running blood drives. Through their involvement, our employees help strengthen local initiatives by assisting with strategic plans, providing specialized employee training, sitting on the boards of local organizations and more.
