Melanie is chief transformation officer at Northern Trust, leading firmwide initiatives that accelerate innovation and adapt to market changes. She is a member of Northern Trust’s Leadership Team and Governance Oversight Committee, contributing to enterprise leadership and strategic governance.

Melanie brings expertise across asset servicing, wealth and asset management. Before joining Northern Trust, she held senior roles at Morgan Stanley, leading modernization programs in operations, product, strategy, and digital platforms, and served as operations lead for the Morgan Stanley–Smith Barney integration. She was previously COO and managing director at Emory Investment Management, overseeing transformation of its $8 billion investment office.

She joined Northern Trust in 2017 to build Front Office Solutions, leading the Parilux Investment Technologies acquisition and launching the platform in 2019. The business now supports more than $1 trillion in institutional assets, and she has since held executive roles across asset owner and asset manager segments.

Melanie serves on the board of Northern Trust Securities, Inc., and has held board roles with NICSA, Parilux, and IMDDA. She is also a founding member of Funds4Food. She holds a master’s in technology management from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s in political science from the University of Georgia.
