Eleanor Murphy

Eleanor is the Northeast Regional Director for Northern Trusts Foundation & Institutional Advisors practice. In this role, she supports non-profit, foundation and endowment clients on the development of customized, cost-effective investment strategies designed to achieve each organizations mission. She consults directly with boards and professional staff to serve all of their investment advisory needs including Outsourced CIO (OCIO), planned giving, philanthropic advisory, impacting investing, banking services and more.

Eleanor has over 20 years' experience working at the intersection of finance and social impact. Prior to joining Northern Trust she spent a decade with Acumen, where she led revenue generating activities to support impact investments globally. Prior to that, Eleanor held a number of positions in financial services with a focus on providing investment solutions for families and institutions while advising on philanthropic strategies.

Eleanor currently serves on the board of Acumen Canada, an organization focused on providing funding for innovative social enterprises solving issues of poverty across the globe. She also volunteers with a number of local non-profits on fundraising strategy and outreach. In addition, she's active member of youth sports on the South Shore of Massachusetts.
