Trent Richardson

Trent leads Product Management for Northern Trust across the Asia Pacific region, driving innovation and strategic growth for Asset Servicing business lines. In this role, Trent identifies emerging market needs and leads the development of forward‑thinking solutions that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen resiliency, and support growth across Northern Trust’s Asset Servicing business lines. His remit spans the research, development, and implementation of products and services that support complex investment strategies, as well as guiding Northern Trust’s regional expansion into new markets. 

With over 25 years of industry experience, including 20 years at Northern Trust, Trent brings deep expertise in product development, operational transformation, and technology‑enabled solutions. He has lead initiatives such as launching Australia’s Investment Accounting platform and automating complex hedge fund processes - delivering measurable outcomes for clients.

Trent’s previous leadership roles at the bank include Head of Product Management for Australia and New Zealand, Head of the Global Funds Services Project Management Office, and Senior Manager of Business Process Analysis. Earlier in his career, he held senior operations roles at leading fund administration firms in Dublin, including Citibank, International Fund Services, and Bank of New York.

Trent holds a Bachelor of Commerce from La Trobe University, Australia.
