Meet a Recruiter: Supriya Davda, London
Supriya Davda currently recruits for Northern Trust Asset Servicing and Technology across MENA (Middle East and North Africa) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
Supriya is based in London and is always on the lookout for Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, Project Managers and Client Services experts in the UK, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi.

The best part of my job as a recruiter at Northern Trust is the variety it offers—I’m constantly working on different roles and remits, which keeps the work dynamic and engaging. As a recruiter, what truly makes an impact on me is encountering candidates who demonstrate honesty, ambition, and enthusiasm. I am impressed by individuals who show a genuine openness to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to the organization.
Additionally, I value compassion—those who show care and consideration for others around them often stand out as future collaborators and leaders.

💡 What’s the best part of your job as a recruiter for Northern Trust?
Getting to offer people jobs and hear their excitement!
A career move is a big decision for most people and I really enjoy being a small part of that.
Additionally, as a recruiter, you have the opportunity to work with a variety of different stakeholders and people within the organization, and each time is a new learning opportunity for me. It keeps things exciting and challenging.
💡 What are your recruiting areas of focus?
Wealth Management – specifically our Global Family Office, Program Management Office and Special Assets. These areas all seek unique skillsets and backgrounds.
💡 As a recruiter, what makes an impact on you / creates an impression?
First, is preparation - when a candidate is prepared for their interview and demonstrates a genuine interest in both the role they are interviewing for, and for Northern Trust, that makes an impact.
Second, is enthusiasm – candidates that have made an impression on me are those that are excited about the work they do and the potential work and impact they can have at Northern Trust.

My top tip for someone applying to a role at Northern Trust is to be thoughtful and do your research. It’s important to understand the organization, the people and the culture. It’s also important to be open-minded as you look at different roles.

We are interviewing you, but you are also interviewing us. It's important that you are assessing if the role and an organization is a right fit for you as well.

Be a team player and say yes!
Get involved and always be willing to help others. This advice has served me well both professionally and personally.

Research all about the company you are applying for. From their careers website to their social media presence and what their leaders are talking about in public.
Have a strong understanding of the roles and responsibilities within the given position you are applying for.
Please make sure to highlight your achievements during the interview, be punctual, show enthusiasm, stay confident and remain calm throughout.
