Employee focused initiatives
Culture means more at Northern Trust Luxembourg.
Our team in Luxembourg came together for Schueberfouer – which included a night of good food, better company, and lots of fun! This rich celebration of local culture and traditions was a wonderful opportunity for our team to connect, strengthen their bond, and create shared memories. On the night, our teams jumped on carousels, laughed all the way, and fueled the adventure with great food and some drinks. Well done to the Luxembourg Sports and Social Committee for organizing the event and a big thanks to everyone who joined (over 50 of you) and made it a great night 💚
In 2025 as part of our Achieving Greater Together (AGT) programme our team in Luxembourg managed to volunteer over 800 hours and donate over 40,000 meals, which was a great achievement. The team continue to assist the Banque Alimentaire and the Food Bank in Luxembourg. Sixteen employees participated in raising awareness of the charity and helped to collect donations at the local Del Haize supermarket. Later in the month, more of the team assisted in their local warehouse to prepare food donations intended for distribution to other non-profit organizations such as shelter and homeless charities.
An evening that was extra-mature, creamy, and full-bodied — with no trace of cheese except on the platter. This is what awaited our team for the Wine and Cheese Evening when Northern Trust visited an all-in Italian wine cellar with complementary cheeses. It led to conversations as sharp as parmesan and as smooth as brie.
We are proud signatories to the Luxembourg Women in Finance Charter. Supported by the Luxembourg Ministry of Finance , this Charter underpins the industry’s ambition to see increased participation of women at all levels within financial services organisations and representative bodies in Luxembourg.
As participants, we acknowledge the role we play and are focused on supporting and developing women at all levels. When we signed the Charter in March 2023, women represented 39% of our senior management population in Luxembourg. We set a target of increasing representation to 42% by the end of 2029 and achieved this milestone in December 2025, four years ahead of schedule. We remain focused on sustaining this progress and strengthening our leadership pipeline to support long-term gender balance at senior levels.
