Stephen Barber

As Managing Wealth Advisor, Stephen leads a team of seasoned professionals working across the Phoenix Region to promote growth initiatives and provide expertise on complex advisory matters. Stephen is currently an adjunct professor at Arizona State University in the W.P. Carey School of Business and at Grand Canyon University in the Colangelo College of Business.

Prior to his current role, Stephen’s principal responsibility was leading a multi-disciplinary team offering holistic wealth management services to Northern’s clients. Before joining Northern in 2011, Stephen served as Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo Private Bank in Los Angeles. Stephen retired from the Navy with a rank of Commander after 23 years of combined active and reserve service.

Stephen serves as the chairperson for the Arizona Community Foundation Professional Advisory Board.

2011

He completed his undergraduate education at The University of South Carolina. Additionally, he graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law. He also holds a LL.M. in Tax from The University of San Diego School of Law.

Stephen is a member of the North Carolina Bar and was formerly licensed as a Registered Representative.
