Hassam El-Shoura

Hassam joined Northern Trust in July 2025 to lead institutional business development in the Middle East and Africa. In his role, Hassam is responsible for the business development strategy and expanding Northern Trust’s footprint across the Middle East and Africa business. 

Hassam has 25 years of experience in financial technology and wealth management, where he has held senior roles at SimCorp and BlackRock focusing on business development across Asset Owners and Asset Managers in the Middle East and Africa region. Prior to this, Hassam worked as a senior fund manager for 12 years in London at multiple family offices and hedge funds including Alternative Investments Asset Management, Iveagh – The Guinness Family Office and RAB Capital. 

Hassam is based in Abu Dhabi.
