Expertise
As a member of the Relationship Advisory team, Elizabeth provides expertise in the implementation of financial, estate, and tax plans for high net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and families. Planning topics frequently include family education and governance, philanthropic strategies, trust administration, and business succession planning.
Experience
Before joining Northern Trust in 2016, Elizabeth practiced law with a focus on estate and wealth transfer planning, fiduciary advising, trust and estate administration, and probate litigation. She also brings a background in education, having worked extensively in child and adolescent development and curriculum design. Elizabeth earned her Juris Doctor and Master of Arts (Education) from the University of Denver, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Virginia. She also holds a Certificate in Behavioral Advising.
Community Involvement
Elizabeth currently serves as Vice Chair on the Professional Advisors Council for The Denver Foundation. Her past board service includes the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, the Women’s Estate Planning Council, and the Cottonwood Institute. She is an active member of the Trust & Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association and the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council. Elizabeth is committed to raising awareness about children's and women's health matters and is active with the Rocky Mountain Children's Health Foundation.
