Monica O'Brien

As a Senior Trust Advisor and Relationship Manager, Monica is responsible for the administration of complex trusts for individuals and families including revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, family limited partnerships, individual retirement account trusts and charitable trusts. Her duties often involve working with sophisticated estate plans, legal questions, sensitive family situations, and complex property transfers. She is familiar with fiduciary standards, principles, applicable laws and regulations. She also coordinates the efforts of appropriate bank resources to ensure timely delivery of quality service in matters pertaining to fiduciary income tax and investments.

Prior to her current role, Monica worked in the Estate Settlement department at Northern Trust in Chicago where she worked on all aspects of the estate settlement process. Prior to that role, Monica worked as an associate attorney at D.A. Marsh and Associates.

She has participated on Detroit Institute of Arts Tannahill Estate Planning Council and the Financial and Estate Planning Council of Metropolitan Detroit.

1998

Monica attended The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She also attended DePaul University Chicago and received a Juris Doctorate.

Monica is a member of the Illinois Bar Association.
