Cecilia Li

Cecilia Li is China Country Manager at Northern Trust based in Beijing, where she leads business development and client engagement across the region, while also fostering strong relationships with regulatory authorities.

With more than 19 years of experience in the financial services industry, Cecilia brings a multifaceted background spanning equity research, macro strategy analysis, global markets sales and trading, and onshore China strategy execution for foreign bank branches.

Before joining Northern Trust, Cecilia held senior roles at State Street, including FX Sales and Trading Manager in Beijing and Equity Strategist in the Global Markets division in London.

Cecilia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Surrey, UK, and a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from CUFE, China - a combination that supports both her analytical capabilities and her understanding of human behavior in professional contexts.
