EXPERTISE

Sally Surgeon is the Head of the Northern Trust office in Sydney and leads the relationship and client servicing teams for the asset servicing business across Australia and New Zealand. 

EXPERIENCE

Sally has over 25 years of global asset servicing experience including the delivery of custody, fund administration and investment operations outsourcing services to investment managers, sovereign, insurance and superannuation funds. 

Sally joined Northern Trust in London in 2005 before relocating to Melbourne in 2007, and Sydney in 2017, supporting Northern Trust’s ongoing expansion of services in the region. 

Prior to Northern Trust, Sally worked for State Street in both their Sydney and London offices where she gained experience in both their institutional and wealth management businesses.

Sally represents Northern Trust on the Australian Custodial Services Association (ACSA) board and is the current Chair. Sally has previously been a member of Women in Super’s Victoria Committee.

EDUCATION

Sally holds a Bachelor of Economics (Macquarie University, NSW), a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment (FINSIA) and is a member of both CFA Society of the UK (IMC) and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA)
