Marco Wiegmann has responsibility for the Swiss Custodian Bank Services. He directly manages Depositary and Transfer Agency services and performs an oversight role over Global Custody within the Depotbank of Northern Trust Switzerland.

 

Marco joined Northern Trust in September 2020 during the licensing process. His responsibilities cover general management activities in Product, Regulatory, Market and Client related developments.

 

Prior to joining Northern Trust Marco held various positions at the Royal Bank of Canada between 2008 and 2020, including responsibility for the Swiss Depositary at RBC Investor & Treasury Services, Zurich as well as Custody Oversight, Client Representation and Shareholder Services. He worked in Corporate & Investment Banking at Unicredit / Hypovereinsbank, Credit Risk Management at Mercedes-Benz Bank and Investment Management at Advertum Vermögensverwaltung before.

 

Education:

 

Marco holds a Masters in Economics and Business Administration (Wirtschaftswissenschaften) from the University of Hohenheim and is a Swiss Fund Officer (Fund Academy).
