Dave serves as Head of Client Development for Northern Trust’s Global Family Office (GFO) business and is a member of its Executive Leadership Team. He is also a member of the Wealth Management business unit's Leadership Group.
GFO’s focus is to provide expertise and services to Northern Trust’s wealthiest of private clients and to the single family offices, private trust and investment companies who serve them. GFO’s clients implement comprehensive estate and corporate structures, require both institutional and private banking solutions, and allocate significant capital to the global markets. Today, GFO is serving more than 500 relationships in nearly 30 countries who entrust Northern Trust with the oversight and administration of more than $700 billion in worldwide financial assets. Dave oversees GFO’s market development functions which includes executing the strategic vision for client, prospect and advisor engagement activities, along with managing the group’s family office, technology and fiduciary consulting teams.
Prior to this, Dave led the business development efforts in the East Region (US) for Northern Trust where he focused on serving the needs of ultra-high-net worth and family office clients. In 1998, he started his career at Northern Trust’s Chicago headquarters supporting both the client administration and marketing functions of the family office business. His previous experience included both escrow administration and corporate trust services at JP Morgan (the former American National Bank).
Dave earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in 1997.
He is Series 7, 24 and 66 (NASD) licensed and completed the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) program at Wharton.
In February 2022, Dave was nominated to the Board of Managers for the YMCA of Metro Chicago. He is also a Board Member for the American Friends of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (London). His prior community work includes serving as a Member of the Corporate Cabinet for the United Way of Metro Chicago, a Member of the Board for the Western Springs Foundation for Educational Excellence (WSFEE) and volunteering with the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
