Malkah Groner is the Chief Administrative Officer of Global Family and Private Investment Office Services (GFO). In this role, Malkah oversees, plans and directs activities for the business, to ensure that the business objectives are being met. She participates in crafting the group’s strategic plan, and engaging with internal and external partners to help execute it. She provides leadership and guidance to the staff, fostering an environment that encourages a positive employee culture. Malkah first joined Northern Trust in 2013 as a Chief Financial Officer within Wealth Management, responsible for oversight of the Central (Chicago/Midwest) region, the Private Client Services group, as well as GFO. It was this last experience that encouraged her interest in joining the business itself, and as such, joined earlier in 2016.

Prior to joining Northern Trust, she spent 10 years at American Express Company in New York within various Finance roles, including five years as part of the Investor Relations team. Additionally, she has held roles in investment banking and high yield and leveraged finance portfolio management.

Malkah graduated from Harvard Business School with an MBA, and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

Malkah lives in Lakeview with her husband and three children, including a set of twins.
