Beata Kirr is Chief Investment Officer of Global Family Office at Northern Trust Wealth Management, where she leads investment strategy, portfolio construction and the delivery of investment insights for ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices.
Beata brings more than two decades of experience advising sophisticated investors across market cycles. Prior to joining Northern Trust, she served as Managing Director and Chief Impact Officer at The Copia Group, a private credit firm focused on direct lending to lower middle market businesses. In that role, she developed the firm’s impact framework and measurement processes and served on the investment committee for its inaugural fund.
Previously, Beata spent 17 years at Bernstein Private Wealth Management, where she held senior leadership roles including Co‑Head of Investment Strategies and National Managing Director. During her tenure, she oversaw strategic asset allocation, manager selection and investment evolution for high-net-worth individuals, family offices and foundations nationwide. She also served on the firm’s executive leadership team and was president of the Sanford C. Bernstein Mutual Fund Board.
Earlier in her career, Beata held investment roles at Aurora LLC (formerly Harris Alternatives) and Goldman Sachs, spanning hedge fund investing, equity capital markets and equity research sales.
In addition to her investment leadership, Beata is deeply engaged in governance and philanthropic work. She serves as a board member and investment committee head at The Poetry Foundation and serves on the investment committee of Congregation Sukkat Shalom.
Beata earned a bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
