Brayton Alley

Brayton Alley is the Regional Managing Director of the Central Region in the Global Family & Private Investment Offices practice, the dedicated group at Northern Trust focused exclusively on the wealthiest families and their family and private investment offices, businesses and charitable entities worldwide. He leads a team of experienced professionals that deliver advice and execute solutions customized to the unique needs of these clients. Brayton sits on GFO’s Executive Leadership Team and serves on the Wealth Management Leadership Group.

Prior to his current role, Brayton served as the Director of Client Development for Northern Trust Wealth Management's Central Region, overseeing all market development functions across the region, which includes client engagement, growth and marketing. He was also Senior Managing Director of Northern Trust's Lake Forest, Illinois market, where he led a team of seasoned professionals to meet the complex financial needs of a high net worth individuals and families. Previously, he served as an Investment Strategist in Northern Trust Asset Management, working with institutional clients to implement outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) programs. Before joining Asset Management, he was a relationship manager in Northern Trust's Securities Finance division. He started his career at Northern Trust as a trainee in the Rotational Development Program.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons as well as running, golf, skiing and travel.

Brayton holds a B.A. degree from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.

He holds his Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses.
