Northern Trust has been recognized by Professional Wealth Management (PWM) magazine, publication of the Financial Times Group, as Best Private Bank for Use of Technology in North America 2018.
PWM’s inaugural Global Wealth Tech Awards recognized Northern Trust for excellence in the use of technology and digital communication, particularly its Goals Driven Wealth Management approach and proprietary Goals Powered Solutions (GPS) platform. The awards highlight the increasingly important role played by technology in private banking today.

This is the 8th time out of 9 years that Northern Trust has won the overall Best Private Bank U.S category. This is the first time Northern Trust has received the family office designation, which is a global award, and the first PWM Wealth Tech Award recognition.
The awards are part of the Global Private Banking Awards created nine years ago to recognize excellence in the wealth management industry by firms worldwide and attracts more than 170 submissions from banks in more than 60 countries.
